What is Wakala Dinar Dirham Users Network (Tumasik) ?

A Wakala basically is a non-profit organisation responsible for spreading and distributing the Dinar and Dirham (DD) Coins.

It is “like” a money changer, but it is not paper for paper, rather paper for gold and silver.

With the paper/electronic money collected from the exchange, the Wakala will as soon as possible buy Gold and Silver. This is to ensure that it will not be affected by further depreciation of the paper/electronic money in possesion as well as to maintain a healthy supply of DD coins.

Usually a Wakala will start with a huge sum of capital, a couple hundreds of thousands, it buys the coins in bulk.

But Wakala Dinar Dirham Users Network (Tumasik) sees that in order to spread DD coins here in Singapore,we do not need to wait for a big lump sum of capital from individuals/organisations. We believed that we can perform the basic works of a Wakala, collectively.

How does it work?

Allah’s hand will always be with the Jama’ah.

Our Head Wakil, Ustaz Noor Deros have some coins in his possesion, enough for small sales.

And Whenever, he is short of coins, a willing member (Without any form of imposition, redha is vital in trading), Karim for example, will offer his coins to those who intends to buy it from our Collective Wakala.

Some of our members have already pledged their willingness to be a part of this collective wakala, Alhamdulillah.

After Karim have received the payment from the buyer, he will then be encouraged to transfer the electronic/paper money attained from the sales a.s.a.p to our wakil who will then buy the new DD coins to recover Karim’s sold coins.

How will our Wakil make the puchases and from whom?

Our wakil buys the coins straight from e-dinar.com, a company where Sidi Umar Ibrahim Vadillo himself is the director.

Alhamdulillah, our wakil has a special account (Certified ID), which permits him to make purchases of more then USD1000.

Since the charge of one order amounts to around 150 SGD (Wire Transfer is SGD 40 + 85 USD Shipping cost) doing things in a Jama’ah will always lighten everybone’s burden, our wakil will call upon any other members/ non-members who intends to buy DD to join in the purchase in order to disperse the SGD 40.

If somebody wants to sell their coins in cases of emergency, be it a member or a non-member, how will Wakala Collective Temasek help him/her?

Announcement will be made to our Wakala Dinar Dirham Users Network (Tumasik) group by our Head wakil or any of our member; that somebody, a member or a non-member needs to sell their coins urgently. As a Jama’ah we have the obligation to help those in distress, hence, our pledged members will be encouraged (Without any imposition whatsoever) to buy the coins.

If nobody steps up, our Head Wakil will make the purchase.
